Giuseppe Verdi's Nabucco is a four-act opera set between Jerusalem and Babylon, centering on the captivity of the Jews under the Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar. The libretto is by Temistocle Solera. The plot recounts the invasion of Jerusalem, the power struggles between Nabucco's daughters (Fenena and her half-sister Abigaille), and Nabucco's final conversion to Judaism, freeing the Jewish people.
