We're back with the 2026 PROLOCO membership program: you too can support us with a small but important contribution by subscribing to your annual membership. Your support allows us to continue our efforts to enhance the local area, promote culture and tourism, and organize the events that bring our town to life throughout the year and strengthen our sense of community.
The Pro Loco 2026 membership campaign is also active this year, which, as you know, is essential to the life and continuity of our association. Thanks to the invaluable support you offered us last year, we were able to implement numerous successful initiatives and improve the services we offer. We are confident that you will want to join us again this year, allowing us to plan new activities and expand existing projects.
We look forward to welcoming you to our offices during our opening days and hours, which are constantly updated and can be found on our official website. Our staff will be available to provide all the necessary information, explain our upcoming activities, and assist you in renewing or renewing your Pro Loco membership.
To facilitate those unable to visit our offices in person, membership can also be conveniently purchased online, directly on our website, in the " JOIN US! BECOME A MEMBER " section. The process is simple and guided, allowing you to become a Pro Loco member in just a few steps, wherever you are.
Starting this year, we are officially registered with the national UNPLI. With membership, in addition to becoming part of the greater UNPLI world, members can benefit from important agreements and discounts at the regional, national, and local levels. This means access to discounts, dedicated services, and exclusive opportunities, as well as contributing to the growth of a network of Pro Loco organizations that work daily to promote Italian regions.

CHIANNI
Di origini medievali (ma sono state rilevate tombe etrusche), è rimasto pressoché inalterato nei secoli.
Vive un eterno dualismo tra natura selvaggia e incontaminata (nel suo lato montuoso la macchia mediterranea regna sovrana) e terreno lavorato dall’uomo, in appezzamenti adibiti ad oliveti, vigneti – spesso strappati faticosamente alla macchia – e colline di grano.
Al centro, il castello, sigillo storico della fusione di queste realtà. Il campanile domina gli oliveti circostanti, le abitazioni, i boschi, con autorevole benevolenza e, negli anni, la sua silhouette inconfondibile è stata fotografata e ammirata da turisti di tutto il mondo, diventando uno dei simboli di questa parte della toscana.
La forza di Chianni sta nella sua ospitalità.
Che tu scelga di soggiornare presso un agriturismo in campagna, in una villa nel bosco, o in una casa storica del centro, per qualche giorno, o per intere stagioni, ti sentirai parte di questa comunità.
Prenderai il caffè al bar del paese, e probabilmente, prenderai parte ad una delle nostre interminabili partite a carte. Troverai signore pronte a rivelarti le loro ricette di famiglia. Probabilmente, se avrai abbastanza tempo, prenderai parte alle nostre raccolte di olive e alle vendemmie. Purtroppo non sarà facile trovare un chiannerino che ti porti a cercar funghi, ognuno costudisce gelosamente i suoi posti preferiti!
Se vieni in estate, sarà dolce la pennichella all’ombra di un albero, cullati dal frinire delle cicale. Se arriverai in autunno, i profumi del bosco e i suoi doni gastronomici ti incanteranno.
E siamo certi che quando tornerai a casa non sarai più lo stesso. Chi passa da qui diventa “Chiannerino”.

FESTIVAL OF THE BOAR SINCE 1976
The Wild Boar Festival was born in 1976 to enhance and promote Chianni and its peasant cuisine linked to hunting and agriculture. Over time it has become the most important festival in the place

Chianni, a town that is not only ideally located to visit the best of Tuscany (Pisa, Volterra, Florence, Siena, the sea ..) but which also allows its guests to experience the real Tuscany, to "live as a toscani ”discovering its hidden beauties.
CHIANNI OPERA FESTIVAL
The Chianni Opera Festival is a traditional opera festival held in June in the historic medieval village of Chianni. Now a nationally established event, it has seen significant artistic collaborations and organized live opera performances complete with orchestra, costumes, and stage sets. The festival's artistic direction is entrusted to Pisan baritone Giancarlo Ceccarini, an internationally renowned opera singer. Given his family ties to the town, he decided to create and continue this important initiative, with the support and collaboration of the Chianni municipal administration, the Pro Loco di Chianni, the Corale San Donato di Chianni (now the opera choir), as well as the human and logistical support of the Compagnia di Luca, and several local and national sponsors.
